I found Amazon jeans that are better than $99 Abercrombie pairs at twice the price – I’ll never spend that much again
A fashionista who spends her days finding dupes of designer products has claimed she’s picked up a pair of jeans that are better than those from Abercrombie.
Julia Gratton, from the US, filmed a TikTok video in which she tries on her new light blue ripped jeans from Amazon.
In the clip, she tries on the jeans, believed to be $50, which are a perfect fit around her hips and waist, and vows never to spend $99 on Abercrombie jeans again.
Responding to the video, viewers thought the jeans were a pretty good dupe – although some people weren’t convinced and didn’t think they were cheap enough to count as a good non-designer alternative.
Others suggested that the jeans would not make a good fit for their own body shapes and were unsure if they’d try them out.
Julia Gratton, a fashion influencer from the US, posted a video on TikTok in which she claimed her Amazon jeans were better than the Abercrombie versions
Julia, who has an Amazon Store Front and uses her TikTok account to showcase their products on her petite body with a larger chest, posted the video on TikTok which has received more than 500,000 views.
At the beginning of the clip, she says: ‘Do not make this mistake. I can guarantee you after watching this video you will never spend $99 on Abercrombie jeans again.’
Behind her voice, she shows a screenshot of a model on the Abercrombie website wearing the Ultra High Rise 90s Straigh Jean, which is ripped at the knees.

Speaking to her TikTok followers, Julia, who promotes Amazon products on her page, said she wouldn’t ever spend $99 on jeans again
In the next clip, she is wearing a black t-shirt and holding the jeans in her hands, ready to try them on.
She says: ‘So I saw a TikTok of a girl saying that these Amazon jeans are better than Abercrombie jeans.
‘And, you know me, I was skeptical because I do own two [pairs of] Abercrombie jeans and I just thought nothing could be Abercrombie quality.
‘I was wrong, ok? I was definitely wrong.’
As she pulls up the jeans, she adds: ‘So I bought these three months ago and since then I have not picked up my Abercrombie jeans not even one single time.
‘It’s a big statement but I’m gonna say it: The quality of these is the same as Abercrombie and the fit of these is superior.’
Responding to the video, some viewers liked the look of the dupes, whereas others were unconvinced.
One viewer, who is a big fan of Amazon products, said: ‘I only buy Amazon clothes now and I am sooo happy.’
However, one less convinced shopper said: ‘I keep seeing these jeans on my For You page but when I look them up they have terrible reviews and I’m scared to get them.’
Another viewer who was concerned whether Amazon would cater for clothes to fit her body asked: ‘Okay but is the sizing inclusive because Amazon is not known for inclusive sizing.’
One person pointed out that the dupes cost about $50, which is not cheap enough in their opinion to be classed as a ‘dupe’.
